The Hertfordshire RFU Girls DPP (Developing Player Program) is a cornerstone of our commitment to nurturing young female rugby talent in Hertfordshire. Our program provides a structured pathway for girls to develop their skills and prepare for higher-level competition in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to promoting women’s rugby in Hertfordshire and inspiring more girls to get involved in the sport. Our program focuses on player development and preparing girls to excel on the rugby field. We believe in providing opportunities for girls to reach their full potential and pursue their rugby aspirations.
Competitions
The Girls DPP team participates in multiple games per year in and around the East region. These games are played against two other CBs (County Boards) in three formats: 15-a-side, 7-a-side, and X Rugby. This diverse range of formats allows our players to experience different styles of play and further their development as rugby players.
Development Focus
Our program places a h3 emphasis on player development and preparing girls to play the game at a higher level. We provide regular training sessions, as well as strength and conditioning sessions, to help our players improve their skills, fitness, and overall performance on the field.

Eligibility:
- To be eligible to participate in the Hertfordshire RFU Girls DPP program, you must meet the following criteria:

- Be in the under 16 age bracket and below (Year 11).
- Live or study in Hertfordshire.
- Play for a Hertfordshire rugby club.
- Have previously played for Hertfordshire.
- Be born in Hertfordshire.
Required Playing Standards:
- While we welcome players of all skill levels, a certain standard of rugby proficiency is required to ensure the competitiveness of our program.
