Membership

The Members Section is an important and influential group in that it comprises in its membership those persons with an active interest in the well-being and promotion of the game in general and the Hertfordshire representative sides in particular.

Every member receives a copy of the County Yearbook which records his membership, a membership card which allows a free admission to the home County Championship ( Men, Women and under 20s) games and also secures free admission to the County Presidents’ Tankard, Cup and Trophy Finals. Whenever possible, and certainly at home championship games and the Cup Finals, a Members Bar area is made available, if possible. Members are also eligible to apply for international tickets but it must be pointed out that the demand always far exceeds the supply (30% approximately). The tickets are distributed as fairly as possible. Each year the County publishes 2-3 copies of its newsletter “About Herts”. This is sent freely to County Members to keep them abreast of what is going on.

Individual membership is £20 a year, Family Membership (maximum two family members) is £25 a year.

For the economy of administration Hertfordshire RFU do not issue annual subscription invoices. Therefore, members are required to set up their own Standing Order Mandate to commence on the 1st September annually. Those members that join after the 1st September are required to pay the annual subscription immediately, and thereafter on the 1st September annually.
